One of my favorite things about my job is that I get to learn about brands that I’ve never seen or heard of before. I’m surrounded by lookbooks and line sheets, a.k.a. every fashion girl’s dream! One of the latest labels that I was introduced to via dresscode Boutique, where I work, is Tularosa.
The first thought I had when I looked at the pieces we received was that it was very Free People-esque. However, I’ve since come to the conclusion that while both brands are totally boho chic, Tularosa has a bit more of a feminine, sophisticated vibe. Don’t get me wrong, I love Free People! The only problem is that sometimes I just feel like a total poser in their clothes. As much as I wish I were a hippie at heart, I’m too high-strung for that. Ugh. The Tularosa items are, in my opinion, easier to wear in that sense.
I love the brand’s use of off the shoulder and v-neck detailing – slightly sexy but also very girly and sweet. The color palette includes lots of earth tones as well as some deeper, complimentary colors. The way the patterns and colors are used in the line, it’s super easy to mix and match different pieces.
The one downfall of Tularosa is the cost. While probably feasible for “real” adults, the high-one-hundred price point is too steep for me right now. (It’s not very hard to be, though.) I’ll have to keep my bargain-hunting eye on the lookout for any sales or promotions!
Check out some of my favorite pieces from Tularosa’s spring line in the collage above. You can shop these pieces on Revolve. And no, they don’t give me anything for saying that. A girl can dream, though.
Colorfully (and free-spiritedly) Yours,
Haley
