Elementary Eats: PB Banana Wrap

peanut butter banana wrap

There are two facts about my eating habits that, if you’ve been following my blog for any length of time, you already know: I have the worst sweet tooth ever, and I’m the laziest cook ever.

Needless to say, my “dinners” when I’m alone involve minimal ingredients and effort. But they always pack a sweet punch. Basically, I’m an elementary schooler who happens to have access to a kitchen and no parental supervision.

So, the meal I’m about to share with you is nothing groundbreaking, but I thought it was a good idea to share with you guys. The ingredients are things that most people have around the kitchen but may not have thought to put together for dinner.

I bring you my PB Banana Wrap:

  • 1 whole wheat tortilla
  • peanut butter (I’m a Teddie fanatic)
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • honey
  • a few chocolate chips

I spread the peanut butter on half of the wrap, placed some banana slices on top, drizzled it with honey, and sprinkled a few chocolate chips on for good measure. Then (here’s the part that separates this from a cafeteria meal) I rolled it up and used a panini press to make the wrap melty, gooey and delicious. If you don’t have a panini press, you could easily do the same on the stove.

If your sweet tooth is a little less intense than mine, this would make a delicious breakfast or snack!

Sorry about the lame photo, by the way. You can’t expect me to pause for a good photo when there’s a piping hot PB creation in my hands.

If anyone ever tries to judge the fact that your dinner looks more like a dessert, get rid of them. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life.

Colorfully Yours,

Haley
