Introducing my latest obsession: rose gold hair.

By now, we’re used to seeing colorful locks, from pastels to more vibrant hues. Celebrities like Nicole Richie, Kylie Jenner, Katy Perry, Hilary Duff and more have taken the plunge into vats of funky-colored hair dye.

But the latest trend is a little easier for us normal folk to adopt. The rose gold tone is unique and eye-catching without being too bold for ‘real life.’ It’s definitely a statement, but not one that may get you confused for a Smurf.

Emma Roberts – who, by the way, I am kind of in love with – recently adopted a shade of the color that she and her hairstylist are calling ‘desert rose.’ It’s a little more in the reddish/strawberry blonde family, and the pink tones are picked up more in certain light than others. In other words, it’s the perfect way to try it out and still be taken seriously.

This is one of those times where having multiple personalities gets tricky. See, my trendy, YOLO side would at least get some rose-gold ombré going. But it wouldn’t really go with my look on my preppier, more conservative days. Being a style chameleon is so fun and I don’t think I’ll ever stop being one, but it makes commitment hard. *Cue my team of Kylie-Jenner-esque wig artists who can change my hair on the daily.*

What do you guys think of the rose gold hair look? Are you all about living ‘la vie en rose?’

Colorfully Yours,

Haley
